About Us

My name is Paul Hallissey, Owner and Administrator of Priceless Parrots.com
Paul Website Owner
During 2004 my family and I had the pleasure of owning 'Ollie' our Ringneck Parakeet.
One day in december 2004 I returned home from a quick trip out, approx 15 minutes to be precise. To find 'Ollie' hanging from a piece of string that had been holding a chunck of Corn on the Cob not 10 minutes before.

'Ollie' was in a real bad way, The Corn had been destroyed leaving a noose of string that actually had tightened around 'Ollies' head. She was half dead at the point of finding her, Oxygen starvation had obviously set in and after removal from the string I was straight on the telephone to the vet. The Vet advised me to leave it for a while and they told me she would possibly improve. She didnt and after a week of comforting her and helping her eat and drink I decided enough was enough. She was disabled and couldnt do a thing for herself, she couldnt balance, talk, eat nor drink properly. It wasnt a hard decision it was the right decision.

After a Month or so 'Scooby' my beautiful female African Grey came into our lives and since then have learnt alot about Parrots. To the point where I can answer most questions. I am not a Breeder and dont pretend to be.The questions and knowledge attatched to that particular subject is left for the proffesionals to answer.

After losing 'Ollie' I decided to build this website in memory of 'Ollie'. The idea was to help other Parrot owners with there issues

and be able to answer the questions that we as parrot owners know but others may not. To Share our experiences and imformation with other like minded people.

With the support of my Wife Alison and two children Robert 15 and Louise 12 I am able to help others and support other Parrot owners both newbies and experienced with issues that they may be finding hard to deal with, Problem Parrots, Training, feeding etc etc. It all takes time to learn.

We have a great Parrot Forum on the Website and have made many friends by talking to them both online and offline. Its a great way to talk to like minded people.

The Priceless Parrots Website is designed in such a way that the whole family can get involved.

I love it and im sure once you get to know us you will too. Hope to see yo soon.

Best Wishes

Paul Hallissey
